Receive and analyze incoming referral/order calls.
Maintains a phone log of all incoming calls.
Faxes signed referral to appropriate county office, pharmacy, DME, private duty, Etc. Verify new referring physician license on referrals taken in department.
Research coverage or pay source for each referral. Verify commercial Policies. Task Medicare and KMA to HIQA for verification. Obtain authorization for visits from insurance. Update insurance case manager on patient status and need for additional visits throughout the episode of care. Also obtains authorization for EPSDT patients.

Job Requirements:
Current LPN licensure
Minimum of 1 year experience in home health care
Possess ability to communicate effectively, work well with others, handle stress, use good judgment, be creative and accept challenge.
Excellent organizational skills
Good understanding of home health issues
Knowledge of Medicare, KMA, Private Insurance
